Once a month ConSpot is going to spotlight an initiative that needs your money. Unlike organizations like the ACLU or Planned Parenthood, which are wonderful and need your money,  too, these spotlights will focus on initiatives that are trying to do something specific in the resistance, where even small donations will go a long way.

With the tragedy of Charlottesville still on everybody's minds, many of us are probably wondering what we can do personally to help fight White Supremacy. It can certainly be overwhelming to wrap your head around a topic as pervasive as institutional racism.

Luckily, that’s where the organization Safety Pin Box comes in. This easy-to-manage service is the Blue Apron of the activism world. Once a month you pay a certain amount (the price is on a sliding scale), and they send you a box with an actionable item to follow-up on in the social justice space.

Your money is used to finance the expenses of black female activists who are chosen at random every month. So not only are you getting plugged into the movement, but you can be confident that your funds are having a very specific, and tangible effect.
